The third and final book of the Soulfire Series
The Queen of the Underworld is poised to take control of the mortal plane. Famine and Disease ravage the land, carving a path of unrest to make way for War’s final ride and the Queen’s ascent to power. With the ever-rising death toll feeding her demonic armies it seems that Hell and Earth are fated to fuze. Verenna and her companions must work fast to stop it. That is, if they can find her.
With only vague recollections of her past, Verenna awakes in a strange city, caged, alone, and on trial for a string of bloody killings she did not commit. But escape does not promise safety. Every creature for miles is looking for her, human and otherwise. She and her friends must trust the hospitality of strangers to keep ahead of those who hunt them. Though for some, betrayal may bring rewards too sweet to resist.
In order to stave off the impending war to the north they must piece together the final instructions of an age-old prophecy. A task made all the more difficult as old enemies surface to challenge them. With time running out, there is no room for error.
If the Queen rises there will be nothing left to save.
Book two of The Soulfire Series is out.
The Horsemen grow stronger by the day. Evil stalks the woods in the form of man and beast. An insidious presence seeps through the countryside, infecting town after town with a soul-consuming disease…and it’s up to Verenna to stop it.
Far from the life she knew, and with hardly a clue about battling the Underworld, the girl must accept her place at the center of a prophecy if she wants to see her home again.
She and her companions must form unlikely alliances, pitting new and old friendships against ancient enemies bent on their destruction. Forces strong enough to consume immortals awaken hungry for a fight. All the while, creatures from the dark edges of imagination hunt them at the bidding of a nightmarish entity called Gawshire.
Verenna will need wit, courage, and the stirrings of a dangerous power she never asked for to face her greatest challenge yet. But as certain allies prove unreliable, how will she fare when forced to fight alone?
Against foes like these, no one is safe.
Fate of Smoke has launched!
Something stirs in the Beyond. A creature Death once banished is clawing its way skyward in search of the last mortal sharing its ancient bloodline. The beast will stop at nothing, raising all manner of horrors, even the Four Horsemen themselves, for the sole purpose of finding and destroying one girl. Verenna.
Nothing in the Canterford girl’s comfortable life could have prepared her to navigate the dangers she faces. Armed with only a fiery temper and a quick mind, Verenna is no match for the powers of the Underworld. That is, until she becomes an unwilling guest to a company of outcasts who claim they can help. But the group may have a dark secret of their own…
It will be nearly impossible to survive in a world where every shadow wants to collect the price on her head. Even the nature of her guardians may put her life at risk. Nevertheless, Verenna must put her trust in herself and the word of her new found traveling companions to stop the ride of the Horsemen before the world plummets into demonic chaos. If she doesn’t unseat the riders in time, all Hell will come bubbling up.
